Located 2.5 hours from the city of Arequipa, Colca Lodge is perfectly nestled along the banks of the Colca River, surrounded by stunning mountains and hundreds of pre-Inca terraces. Inspired by the pre-Inca constructions, the property use mud, stone and straw to create a magical synergy with nature both inside and outside of each of its buildings. Colca Lodge features four private thermal pools each with different temperatures and full of lithium-rich waters. Each of the property’s 45 well-appointed rooms features a rustic style with views of the stunning valley.

• We recommend spending at least 2 nights in Colca, to allow yourself some time to unwind at the hotel’s 'guest only' hot springs.
• Even though the standard rooms are a great option, we much preferred to stay in the adobe suites that come complete with their own terrace.
• For the little ones, the hotel features an alpaca ranch with different species as well as a small visitor center where they can learn about the friendly creatures.
• The ‘Owner’s house’ (Casa del Dueño) is a great option for large families. It features 1 large room for parents (King size bed and bathroom), 1 small matrimonial room, 1 ‘twin’ room, a second bathroom, an indoor living room, a fully equipped kitchen, a whirlpool and an outdoor living room with grill. We really enjoyed the option of being able to order the BBQ, which is served in the outdoor living room.
