Built in 1927, the Country Club Lima Hotel has a claim to being Peru’s only hotel and national cultural monument. Complete with over 300 pieces of original 16th to 18th-century artwork on loan from the Pedro de Osma Museum, the hotel is not only a place for rest but also home to an ad hoc art gallery for those who love the arts. The extravagantly decorated lobby retains the original 1920’s charm, including beautiful dark-wood ceiling beams, suspended chandeliers and a mix of luxurious marble flooring with ornate red and black carpeting. Rooms are well-appointed, spacious and feature all of the homelike luxuries that you might expect coupled with pleasant views of the surroundings. The hotel has a small outdoor plunge pool, small gym, spa, and ‘local approved and recommended’ restaurant and bars.
