The hotel (formerly 'Altiplanico') is located just outside of San Pedro de Atacama, on the outskirts of town, and faces the impressive Licancabur Volcano. It has been designed in the local Atacameña adobe style and follows the concept of visual silence which lends itself to the property’s overall air of tranquility and serenity. It is close enough to the main San Pedro street for you to reach it by means of a short walk, yet far enough away for you to be able to enjoy undisturbed relaxation from either your room or one of the spacious and ample common areas. Unlike the smaller hotels near the main street, the Habitas features a beautiful swimming pool area with ample space to relax and enjoy the famous Atacama sunsets. The hotel has 29 rooms, divided between single, doubles, triples, and family rooms, and is arranged in three semicircles with individual terraces.
