The La Yegua Loca Boutique Hotel is situated at the foot of the Cerro de la Cruz hill in Punta Arenas. Its privileged position gives its guests a picturesque view over the Strait of Magellan and Tierra del Fuego. It features 15 themed rooms each personally decorated by the owners (who are also the hosts) who wanted to express their love for their land and traditions. Each room is spacious, homey and comes complete with large beds and beautiful panoramic views over the colorful city as well as the Strait.
The hotel features a casual Patagonian ranch styled restaurant bar that offers delectable regional recipes as well as some Croatian-inspired dishes from recipes that were passed down from the owner's grandparents who were Croatian immigrants that first settled in Punta Arenas. Furthering the owner's desire to restore the property's history, the hotel also has its own grocery store, which resembles the historic warehouses where locals could purchase different kinds of products, and allows customers to buy typical regional items, gourmet products, and various souvenirs from Patagonia.
