Similarly to that of the Four Seasons, the Park Hyatt Palacio Duhau has an unbeatable location in Recoleta and features two separate buildings; a 1930’s restored neoclassical palace and a 17-story contemporary building. Both are connected by an underground art-lined passageway and a secluded garden with breathtaking terraces. The grand hotel boasts tastefully lavish décor as well as exceptional personal service which adds to its enriching atmosphere in the heart of Buenos Aires. Besides an indoor pool, fitness center and spa, the Hyatt features the ‘Oak Bar’ a ‘Club Style’ bar with wood burning fireplace and antique oak paneling (brought from France at the time that the mansion was being built). The place for pre-dinner cocktails in summer and spring has to be the outdoor terrace in the mansion that overlooks its beautiful garden.

• Rooms in the modern Posadas building are similar in size (40m²), the only difference between them being the view. Our suggestion, book the deluxe rooms with view (facing the garden and the mansion).
• The mansion features 23 suites in different categories. Regardless of the type of room you book, all guests have the chance to enjoy breakfast in either the Posadas building or in the mansion’s restaurant (Gioia) that features an outdoor terrace facing the garden.
• If you are staying here with friends, book a private Argentine wine & cheese tasting at the ‘Vinoteca’, guided by a talented sommelier in an intimate setting and limited to 6 guests.
• Take some time to stroll through the underground pathway between the Posadas building and the mansion, a place that highlights the local art and culture. At the time that we stayed at the hotel, we had the opportunity to see the works of art from Eduardo Cetner.
