Afternoon at leisure to explore the city at your pace.

This morning you will be transferred to the airport to board your domestic flight to Cusco (flight is not included). After a 1-hr flight, you will arrive in Cusco, the capital of the Inca Empire. Allow yourself to be impressed by the culture, architecture, and customs of this city, including the Inca influences. Upon your arrival, our local representative will meet you and transfer you to your chosen hotel in Sacred Valley.
Experience the culture, history, and nature of Peru while enjoying some easy hikes. First, you will be transferred to the village of Maras, from where you will walk to the salt terraces of Maras (approx. 1 hour). Provided it’s a sunny day, you will get to witness an intense white snow-like shine - an impressive sight for any visitor.
During the Inca times, salt (which has curative properties by the way!) was extracted from these mines and the same method to do so is still used today. With the vehicle, you will continue to the community of Misminay from where you will start with a hike towards a viewpoint of the terraces of Moray. After a 45-minute walk on mostly flat terrain, you will be rewarded with a unique perspective of Moray at your feet – a view unknown to most tourists. Moray's circular terraces hidden among the hills are similar to that of a Greek amphitheater surrounded by an impressive backdrop of snow-covered mountains, Moray served as an open-air agricultural lab for adapting crops to different environmental conditions.
After soaking up the impressive views of Moray, you will head back down to the community of Misminay where the ladies will welcome you. Witness an impressive weaving demo and enjoy a healthy and delicious meal they have prepared for you as you exchange stories with them. Your eventful day ends with a transfer back to your hotel in the Sacred Valley.
