Immerse yourself into the authentic rural life of Cusco while supporting female entrepreneurship!
Your first stop of the day is Moray. Surrounded by an impressive backdrop of snow-covered mountains, Moray was used as an open-air agricultural lab for adapting crops to different environmental conditions. To see Moray from a unique perspective, unknown to most tourists, you head on to Misminay. From here you will start a gentle 45-minute hike to a viewpoint where you will have an amazing view of the terraces at your feet.
After returning to Misminay you will be welcomed by the friendly ladies of the community. Next, try your hand at making some delicious Peruvian spicy salsa. Together with the ladies of Misminay you will roll up your sleeves and grind chili and herbs on a huge mortar. After mixing up all the ingredients you will have your homemade Uchucuta salsa ready to taste! Your hard work is rewarded by a delicious three-course lunch, personally prepared for you by the families of the community with naturally cultivated ingredients from their farmlands. Take in the phenomenal views of the snow-capped mountains of the Sacred Valley as you enjoy your traditional meal and exchange stories with the locals.
