The unique city of Punta Arenas is formed along the Strait of Magellan and has served as a starting point for many daring expeditions, inspiring famous explorers such as Magellan, Francis Drake, and even Charles Darwin to set out and discover the unknown. It is a melting pot of various cultures, each leaving a valuable historical and cultural legacy that is still preserved to this day. With a population of around 125,000 people, mostly descended from Croatian, Spanish, Italian, German, English immigrants and families from the Isla Grande de Chiloe, Punta Arenas is rich in history and traditions.
