Known for their cañazo family recipe (a Peruvian sugar cane liquor), this award-winning distillery produces exquisite spirits with the environment in mind. The high altitude, the sugar cane from the Andean soils, and the water from the glacier-fed rivers all play an essential role in the distillation process. What makes their spirits exceptional is the combination of the large range of herbs coming straight from their organic farm.
During this experience, you will explore El Albergue’s impressive garden, while collecting your own herbs. Once back at the distillery you will get to enjoy a spirit tasting after which you will have the chance to prepare your very own ‘Andean elixir’. Your bottled creation is the perfect souvenir to take back home. After patiently waiting 6 months for your liquor to fully absorb the herbs’ flavor, you will finally be able to enjoy your cañazo while reminiscing about your awesome trip to the Sacred Valley.
