You know how they say, ‘you have to taste a culture to understand it’? Today you will get to appreciate the truth behind this saying. On this 3–4-hour activity you will be transferred from your hotel in Cusco to the Sacred Valley. Before being dropped off at your hotel of choice in the Sacred Valley (or back in Cusco), you will stop for a delicious lunch at the family-owned farm Hacienda Sarapampa. Located about 1 hour from Cusco, Sarapampa is an operational farm that grows Cusco’s famous Giant White Corn. Before your curated medley of seasonal produce and fresh ingredients is served, learn how the Incas developed this extra-large variety of corn and about its relevance for the local economy. Experience the hacienda lifestyle firsthand before sitting down for an authentic 3-course ‘farm to table’ lunch.
Lunch is available Mondays to Saturdays between 12:30 and 15:30. The restaurant is closed on December 25th and January 1st.
Your driver will pick you up at your hotel in Cusco. The transfer takes about 1 hour - approx. 37 km/23 miles to the hacienda.
